Day 12... Montreal (Mount of the King)

Day 11...Quebec (Kay-beck)

Chateau Frontenac, the most photographed hotel in the world... and I helped!

Expand to locate our ship, a mere babe compared to the big boys(we had 150 on board) ... this taken during another beautiful 5 miler around the old city of Quebec. 

An unexpected Jean d'Arc statue in the middle of an English garden. It represents how well they've gotten along since 1863's Treaty of Paris. 

Tulips framing a small replica of NY's Empire State Building, built here to dock zeppelins. Go figure!

Day 10...Saguenay Fjord

Our cruise ship,  if you zoom in,  from 6.8 miles away... our morning walk was beautiful! 

When you don't have the Loch Ness monster...

Water drives electrical power,  which drives turning bauxite into aluminum.

Unfortunately,  water intensity also floods at times.  1996 was a disaster,  with this the only house standing. 

The tour took us by 1 of the 60 massive water driven electrical motivated dams..

Day 9...Baie-Comeau (bay como)

Who doesn't think, "Taxidermy" when logging slows down?

Poutine and local brews...a nice change of pace for lunch. 

The local gin,  made from wild mushrooms... delicious! 

Reenacting logging music,  including the reality that only men could log,  or women with mustaches? 

More frescoes than the Sistine Chapel. 

A beautiful church built in the 1930s, with Italian design and quality in this little town.  Wow! 

St. Amelie,  named after the wife of the McCormick spice captain of industry.  They needed pulp for his other business,  the Chicago Tribune paper.. so he built a Canadian town and a church. 

Day 8...Gaspe and Perce Rock

This rock looks like an angry first inhabitant.

Another great little hike up to the cross! 

Some say horse, some donkey and others a cow drinking water.  Your opinion? 

Every dot is one of 200,000 Gannett birds!  

I'm even on this boat trip,  and loving it...

Dad's also enjoying himself! 

We spotted 1 whale,  multiple seals and 200,000 Gannets...

Using your imagination,  here's a monster whale,  part of a pod of 3 or 4 that spouted only 4 light years away...
